Morpheus 8 (Radiofrequency Microneedling) Pre-care

We can't wait to welcome you to Le Formulaire. As your appointment approaches, please follow the pre-care instructions below to ensure your skin is fully prepared for your Radiofrequency Microneedling Treatment.

7 days before your appointment 

  • Avoid taking aspirin, anti-inflammatory medications such as ibuprofen, herbal supplements, vitamin E, and Fish Oil. 

  • Cease use of retinoid products. 

  • Do not use any exfoliants. 

  • Avoid sun exposure.

  • Avoid facials / peels / waxing / threading / laser to the areas targeted.

24 hours before your appointment 

  • If you get coldsores please start taking the medication we prescribed to prevent them. 

  • Avoid exercise / excess heat. 

  • Hydrate with water to improve discomfort. 

On the day of your treatment 

  • Arrive makeup-free

Morpheus 8 (Radiofrequency Microneedling) Aftercare

Thank you so much for trusting in us to look after your skin. To ensure the best results, please follow these aftercare steps

  • Avoid wearing makeup for 12 hours minimum. ideally 24 hours.

  • Avoid touching treated areas for 48 hours to minimise risk of infection.

  • Avoid sun exposure after treatment for 2 weeks.

What to do after treatment

  • Drink plenty of fluids.

  • No creams unless prescribed for 48 hours (even SPF). Water cleanses only.

  • Keep the treated areas hydrated.

  • Ice compress or cool compress (wrapped in clean cloth) can be used after treatment if skin is hot or swelling.

Downtime post-treatment

  • Downtime after Morpheus is minimal, you may experience a little bit of redness or swelling in treated areas but these should subside in a few hours.

  • It is normal to feel dry and tight after treatment. Bruises may occur.

  • Some gridmarks on the skin may take time to heal.

Contact us if you note:

  • Increasing redness, heat, swelling, pus or fever are all signs of evolving infection.

  • Signs of a developing coldsore.

  • Signs of allergic reaction such as redness, swelling, itchiness, hives, difficulty breathing/swallowing.

  • Any unusual effect we did not discuss
