Our appointments start with a skin health check and facial assessment. We observe how the muscles interact with one another and how you naturally express yourself. Taking this time to analyse the face helps to ensure we retain your natural expression and reveal your best self.
A very fine injection is made in the areas we wish to treat meaning there is little to no discomfort. There is usually very little downtime associated with this treatment as redness and raised injection sites settle very fast.
The treatment takes up to 2 weeks to settle. We like to check-in at this point to ensure a perfect result has been achieved and if it is your first time, we book in a review so that we can assess the result together. Small adjustments can be needed from time to time to achieve the ideal outcome.
Wrinkle relaxers can successfully be used to reduce excessive sweating in areas such as the underarms. This treatment can also help to reduce pain and tension in the biggest jawline muscle, the masseter, when it is associated with teeth grinding. This intervention may also benefit some people by slimming the jawline contour. Other areas of the face may be treated such as a gummy smile if assessed as appropriate.

We often advise that this treatment is carried out in stages, adopting a pan facial approach. We use either a fine needle or blunt needle, known as a cannula, to restore volume or definition in the areas it has been lost. Following the procedure there may be a little down time for swelling and redness to resolve. It is advised that you stay in touch with us while you are recovering so that everything heals smoothly. It is our usual procedure to check-in with our patients on the day following dermal filler to assess healing.
