Our Formula

Platelet rich plasma (PRP) harnesses the power of your own plasma and growth factors to help deliver hydration and restore strength back into the skin. PRP has been used for its anti-inflammatory potential in many forms of medical therapy and its healing power is now applicable to skin rejuvenation. PRP is a regenerative cosmetic procedure that has gained immense popularity due to its natural character. 

At Le Formulaire we often enhance this treatment by combining it with microneedling to allow uniform penetration of the PRP. There is an option to blend PRP with additional hydrating hyaluronic acid to improve the radiance of the complexion. Platelet rich plasma is also a natural option for rejuvenating the under eye area. 

A small collection of blood is taken and spun to separate the platelet-rich plasma from the red and white blood cells. The richly nourishing plasma is then injected back into skin or used in combination with other techniques to address your unique needs.

What to expect at your appointment.

The treatment takes one hour.

We will fully cleanse your skin and apply topical anaesthetic.

We numb your skin for 30 minutes to ensure your utmost comfort. 

As the anaesthetic is taking effect, we will draw a small amount of your blood from your arm and place the tube in a centrifuge to separate the beautiful platelets from the rest of the blood. 

If combined with microneedling, we will microneedle the skin.

We will then apply your PRP on to your skin as a nourishing mask.

No sun or fake tan on treatment area for 2 weeks before and after appointment

Avoid active skincare for a week prior to treatment 

Arrive make-up free

Bring a cap or wide-brimmed hat for post-treatment

Downtime: No make-up for 24 hours

Recommended 3 treatments, spaced 4-6 weeks apart
